Refusal to be erased, misrepresented, or spoken for, Opti reclaims space for narratives often (un)portrayed in the media. When We Become Black Joy invites viewers to witness the depth and multiplicity of Black existence. It is both an ode to presence and a celebration of the communities whose stories reimagine a collective and liberated future.
